Sara C. Bronin is an architect, attorney, policymaker, and professor at George Washington University. Born and raised in Houston (the only large city in the U.S. without zoning), she lives in Washington, D.C.
Raj Mankad is the deputy opinion editor at the Houston Chronicle. He was part of the team that won a 2025 Pulitzer Prize for a series of editorials on dangerous rail crossings. Mankad served as the editor of Cite: The Architecture and Design Review of Houston from 2008 to 2019 and has a PhD from the University of Houston Creative Writing Program.
