Brazos Bookstore is proud to present Ocean Vuong on Tuesday, May 27 at 7 p.m. for his latest release THE EMPEROR OF GLADNESS. Ocean will be in conversation with Kevin Prufer, followed by Q & A. 

This event will be held at Christ Church Cathedral at 1117 Texas Avenue. Parking is available in the Cathedral Garage, accessed from San Jacinto Street.  

Entry is $35.00 per person and entry purchase is required to attend. Each entry purchase includes one (1) entry into the event and  (1) signed hardcover copy of THE EMPEROR OF GLADNESS.  

Books will be pre-signed just before the event, so if you want the signed book you will pick it up when you come to Christ Church Cathedral for the event on 5/27. Any books picked up earlier will not be able to be signed. 

If you are attending the event please select the “I would like to pick this order up at the store“ option when ordering, even though you will be picking your book up at the event rather than at Brazos.

If you opt for shipping, books will only be shipped after the event so that they can be signed. 

Books not picked up at the event will be held at Brazos Bookstore until June 30, 2025.

Books and event entry can also be pre-ordered in-person or via phone (713.523.0701) at Brazos Bookstore until  2 p.m. on May 27, subject to availability. After that time event purchase will only be available at the door, if the event is not sold out.
