Brazos welcomes Zeeva Bukai in conversation with Chris Cander on Thursday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m. This has event has been rescheduled from the original January 23 date.
Born in Israel and raised in New York City, Zeeva is a writer with degrees in acting, theater, and fiction. As a writer, her honors include a Fellowship at the New York Center for Fiction and residencies at Hedgebrook, and Byrdcliffe Artist In Residence program. Her short fiction has been widely published, including in The Master’s Review, where she was the recipient of the Fall Fiction prize selected by Anita Felicelli, and December Magazine where her story ‘The Abandoning’ was selected by Lily King for the Curt Johnson Prose Prize. ‘The Abandoning’ was an early version of the first chapter of The Anatomy of Exile.
